Everything you need to know before opening your bag.
Some answers stop short of the figure you expect. That is deliberate: we publish the values the manufacturer's documentation establishes, and we say so when it establishes none. An approximate value applied on site costs more than a missing one.

01Drying
How long does it take to dry?
Between two coats, allow 2 hours of drying. That is the only drying time prescribed by the current documentation, and it applies to all three formats.
The wait before sanding and painting depends on the substrate, the thickness applied and the conditions in the room. No value is established for that wait: we therefore publish none. What does hold true: the surface must be dry, hard and dust-free before it is painted.

Three different durations are in circulation for the wait before painting, including the one shown today on bricolisse.com. None is confirmed by the manufacturer: we are waiting for its ruling rather than picking one.
02Mixing
How much water is needed for mixing?
Mixing water: 15 to 16 L per 25 kg bag. 10 kg: 6 to 6.5 L of water — 5 kg: 3 to 3.2 L of water.
Sprinkle the powder evenly into the measured water, without stirring. Then mix, by hand or mechanically, until you obtain a smooth paste, free of lumps.
These values are read as a whole range, never as a single dose: the water is adjusted within the range, not beyond it.

What precautions should be taken during the job?

The product's regulatory classification status is the one stated in the manufacturer's safety data sheet, sent on request. Whatever it says, it is not a clearance: the precautions above still apply.

- B-01The substrate must be clean, sound, dust-free and free of any trace of mould-release oil.

This list is closed. Aerated concrete and old paintwork, mentioned on the current website, appear in no document in force: we do not carry them over. For a substrate absent from the list, ask your distributor to confirm before ordering.
05Field of use
Is Bricolisse suitable for a bathroom?
For interior use only: walls and ceilings, new and old, for professionals and home users alike.

The case of wet rooms is covered by no document in force. We therefore publish no rule for areas exposed to splashing: the question goes to the technical department or to your distributor before ordering.
06Thickness
What is the maximum thickness per pass?

No maximum thickness per pass appears in the current documentation. We therefore publish none — the value shown today on bricolisse.com has no source.
What is established: work in several coats, allowing 2 hours of drying between two coats, and open the cracks to be filled to at least 5 mm before filling them.
For a deep hollow or an unusual thickness, ask your distributor for advice.
07Pot life
How long does the mix stay workable?
Working time of the mix: over 2 h 20 at 20 °C.
High temperatures shorten the working time, low temperatures extend it.
This is a minimum, not an average and not a maximum. Never re-temper a paste that is starting to set: prepare the right amount instead.
08Temperatures
At what temperature can the filler be applied?
Application and drying temperature: +5 °C to +30 °C (substrate temperature).
Do not use a paste that has begun to set.
09Storage
How do I store an opened pack?
Close the pack carefully and store it in a dry place, away from heat and damp. These storage conditions are the same for all three formats.

We publish no shelf life. Three documents in force start the count at three different moments — manufacture, purchase, opening of the pack — and these readings contradict one another. Until the manufacturer has ruled, none of them is published.
10Composition
What does Bricolisse contain?
Predominantly mineral composition, of natural origin: selected fine natural plasters and mineral fillers of natural origin. Without synthetic resins.
“Without synthetic resins” applies to resins and to nothing else: the composition also includes a cellulose-based water-retaining agent and a set retarder.
11Emissions
What does the documentation say about emissions?

The emission test documents are the manufacturer's own, and the full test report is not yet on file. We publish no figure and no classification here.
Ask us for the manufacturer's documents: the safety data sheet is supplied on request, and the test documents follow once the manufacturer has confirmed them.
