What this site collects, why, how long it keeps it, and how to exercise your rights.
01Data controller
BRICOLISSE SAS, 30 rue Bauer, 57600 Forbach, France, the publisher of this site, is the controller for the processing described below.

02What the site collects
The site collects nothing without its visitors’ knowledge. There is no profiling, no resale, and no transfer for advertising purposes.
Enquiries by form or email
- Data
- Name or company if you give it, email address, chosen subject and profile, message, date and time sent, page sent from, and the date consent was given.
- Purpose
- Replying to the enquiry, directing you to a stockist, sending a document and, where relevant, commercial follow-up.
- Legal basis
- Form: consent, collected through an explicit checkbox. Email: BRICOLISSE’s legitimate interest in replying to messages sent to it, or pre-contractual steps taken at your request.
- Retention
- No more than three years after the last contact; beyond that, as required by law if the enquiry becomes a quote, an order or an invoice.
Stockist access request
- Data
- Company name, contact name, email address, telephone, line of business, and the date consent was given.
- Purpose
- Checking whether the applicant is a partner distributor, builders’ merchant or stockist and, where appropriate, opening their stockist account.
- Legal basis
- Pre-contractual steps taken at the request of the data subject.
- Retention
- Three years if the request does not proceed.
Stockist account
- Data
- Login credentials, establishment details, documents accessed, quotes and orders attached to the account.
- Purpose
- Giving partner distributors, merchants and stockists access to the stockist area, and managing the commercial relationship.
- Legal basis
- Performance of the contract.
- Retention
- For the duration of the commercial relationship, then accounting records are kept for the statutory periods.
Operations log
- Data
- Timestamp, action taken, account concerned, IP address for login attempts.
- Purpose
- Site security, evidence of publication decisions, and rate-limiting of login attempts.
- Legal basis
- The publisher’s legitimate interest in securing its service.
- Retention
- Twelve months.
03Enquiries sent by form or by email
The site’s contact form and emails sent to Bricolisse arrive in a single enquiry tracking tool, where our assistant Camille helps the team reply.
The data received
- your name or your company’s name, if you give it;
- your email address;
- the subject and profile chosen in the form;
- your message;
- the date and time it was sent, and the page of the site the form was sent from;
- the date and time of your consent.
For an email, we receive the sender’s address, the subject line, the message and the names of any attachments. A telephone number or company name is only recorded if you provide it.
What it is used for
- replying to your enquiry;
- directing you to a stockist;
- sending you a document;
- handling a request for a price, a quote, stockist access, after-sales service or distribution;
- commercial follow-up, where your enquiry leads to it.
The role of Camille, our assistant
Camille is a software assistant provided by ECWeb. It helps the team sort enquiries and can draft a reply. It can also send a simple reply on its own: a document, the stockists listed in your area, or a note that no stockist is listed there.
Sensitive enquiries are always read by a person before any reply: prices and quotes, after-sales issues and disputes, orders, payments, certifications and sensitive technical questions. Nothing that commits Bricolisse to you — a price, terms, stockist access — is granted without a person.
Where and how they are analysed
Messages sent through the form are stored on the site’s servers, at OVH SAS, and sorted by automatic rules, without using any external artificial intelligence service.
Emails are collected and analysed by ECWeb’s platform, which relies on Anthropic’s artificial intelligence service to sort them and draft replies. As Anthropic is established in the United States, this transfer outside the European Union is covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. The text of emails is deleted from ECWeb’s platform no later than 90 days after receipt.
Protection against unwanted messages
The form is protected against unwanted submissions: an invisible field keeps robots out, the number of submissions is limited, and obviously unwanted messages are filed away without a reply. To limit submissions, your IP address is counted in memory for a few minutes only: it is not recorded.
How long they are kept
An enquiry that does not lead to a commercial relationship is kept for no more than three years after the last contact, then deleted or anonymised. If it becomes a customer relationship, a quote, an order or an invoice, it is kept for as long as the applicable commercial, accounting and legal obligations require.

04Recipients of the data
The data is accessible only to authorised staff at BRICOLISSE and the companies of its group and, where necessary, to its technical provider ECWeb, within the limits of its maintenance, application hosting and support duties and the operation of the assistant Camille.
Hosting is provided by OVH SAS, in France or within the European Union.
No personal data is sold, nor passed to third parties for commercial or advertising purposes without a valid legal basis.
05Processors
ECWeb acts as technical provider for the design, maintenance and technical operation of the site, and operates the assistant Camille.
OVH SAS acts as hosting provider.
For the analysis of emails, ECWeb uses Anthropic, PBC, established in the United States, under the conditions described in « Enquiries sent by form or by email ».
BRICOLISSE ensures that its providers access the data only as far as their task requires.
06Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, object to, restrict and port your data. You may withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing already carried out.
To exercise these rights, write to contact@bricolisse.com. Proof of identity may be requested where there is reasonable doubt as to who is asking. You will receive a reply within one month.
If, after contacting us, you consider that your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL — 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France, or at cnil.fr.
