Function by function
The eight functions are those of the manufacturer's technical data sheet, in the order it gives them. For each one: what it makes possible, what the documentation prescribes, and what it does not say.
F-01
Fills
Fill before finishing.
Fixing holes, chases closed up after conduit has been run, chips on an old wall, cracks. The technical data sheet requires cracks to be filled to be opened to at least 5 mm, and cut edges to be left clean and dust-free before filling.

- No maximum filling depth is published in the current edition of the technical data sheet.

Smooths
Bring a wall or a ceiling to a paint-ready state.
Applied with a filling knife, a smoothing trowel or a float. Allow 2 hours' drying between coats. Particle size below 0.08 mm, white in colour, paintable once dry.
- What the documentation does not say
- Coat thickness is not prescribed: no minimum, no maximum, no number of coats.

Bonds
Bond tiles and boards with adhesive beads.
Thermal and acoustic insulation materials are among the accepted substrates, with polystyrene expressly covered for bonding. As with every other function, the substrate must be clean, sound and dust-free.
- What the documentation does not say
- Neither the spacing between beads nor their dimensions are published here: the manufacturer's documentation carries two centre-to-centre values that differ by a factor of ten, and the matter has not been settled.

Joints
Treat the joints between boards.
Paper-faced plasterboard and plaster blocks are among the accepted substrates. The function is listed by the technical data sheet and taken up again by the safety data sheet, under the term “jointing”.

- No method of use specific to jointing — tape, working width, number of coats — appears in the current edition.

Repairs
Make good a damaged surface.
The product is intended for new and old walls and ceilings alike: repair is what renovation is made of. The technical data sheet states resistance to cracking under the prescribed application conditions — the proviso is part of the statement, it is not its small print.

- The function is listed by the manufacturer with no distinct method of use.

Regulates humidity
Sixth function in the manufacturer's list.
It is reproduced here under its official wording, and under that wording alone: that is how it appears on the packaging and in the technical data sheet.
- What the documentation does not say
- No test, no test standard, no class. Until a measurement is produced, this function is argued nowhere on this site, and no performance is attributed to it.

Roughs out
True up an uneven substrate before the finishing coat.
Seventh function in the list, on the same substrates and within the same field of use as the previous ones: interior walls and ceilings, absorbent materials.
- What the documentation does not say
- Neither a thickness nor a tool specific to this coat is prescribed. The German technical data sheet moreover merges roughing out and evening out into a single wording.

Evens out
The fine coat, the one that brings the surface level.
Last of the eight functions. It ends as smoothing does: 2 hours' drying between coats, and a white finish, paintable once dry.

Preparing the substrate

This list is the one in the current technical data sheet, and it is closed. A substrate that does not appear on it is not covered by the manufacturer's documentation: ask us for confirmation before starting.

Mixing and applying
- 01
Mixing water
Pour the specified water into a mixing tub, a trough or any clean container. The volumes are given pack size by pack size.

Preparing the mix
Sprinkle the filler evenly into the specified water, without stirring. Then mix, by hand or mechanically, until a smooth, lump-free paste is obtained, using a slow-speed mixer.

Application
Apply with a filling knife, a smoothing trowel or a float according to the use. Dampen highly absorbent substrates. Allow 2 hours' drying between coats.

Cleaning the tools
In cold water, immediately after use.

High temperatures shorten the working time, low temperatures extend it. Do not use a paste that has begun to set.

What about quantity?

No consumption per square metre is published on this page. The manufacturer's technical data sheet does not state whether its value refers to dry powder or to mixed paste: depending on the reading, the quantity to buy is not the same. The calculator carries that uncertainty openly — it shows a range rather than a single figure, and says which sources it rests on.
